Sentient Hen House is an independent publishing press that started in 2022 but was only formerly registered in 2023. We’re a small bootstrapped company that publishes books on book retailers like Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing, Rakuten’s Kobo Writing Life, Apple Books, Google Play Books and Streetlib for our authors.
We have published books in the genres: paranormal romance, fantasy romance, and dystopia.
Our Mission
Our mission is to help our authors write and publish the fiction stories they want and need to tell.
This mission is intertwined with our ultimate mission, which is to give our readers the stories they want and need to live vicariously through our main protagonists, escape their lives for just those few reading hours and bring laughter to our reader’s lips and hearts.
This seems very abstract, so we’ll just provide the mission statement of our founder and only published author:
My mission is to craft stories where unlikely heroines—from wallflowers to warriors—find love and acceptance, and blossom from quiet embers to blazing stars in worlds where magic shimmers and destinies clash.
Our Vision
Our vision is to grow into a profitable publishing company that provides publishing services to self-published authors.
Right now, we have only one formally published author, which is the founder of the company but look forward to a time when we can help other authors bring their stories to life either by publishing them or by providing the guidance and tools to make their stories the best they can be. However, we are fairly booked and are currently not accepting submissions.
